How is it used?

bit也可表示“少量的抽象事物”，它必須與單數的不可數名詞連用。

• I have a bit of spare time this afternoon. Are there any jobs that need doing？

今天下午我有點空閒時間，有甚麼工作要做嗎？

• Pull harder, Joe. Make a bit of effort！

祖，用多點力拉。再出力一點！

• Mum sometimes does a bit of gardening when she gets home from work.

媽媽有時下班回家會做一點園藝工作。

• Closing the road will cause more than a bit of inconvenience for the people who live there.

封了這條路會使附近居民很不方便。

• David got into a bit of trouble with the police.

有時可以只用a bit，而無需後接of。
